“I love to see the reaction on our patients’ faces when they try their custom-crafted prostheses, and then stand, walk or grip something for the first time. Some are curious. Some are a bit tentative. They’re ecstatic—especially the kids—and they can’t wait to get going.”

“I’m a stickler for details—fit, function and feel. When it comes to a patient’s comfort level, I’m constantly looking for a better way. That’s the fate of every perfectionist. Our patients seem to sense that. They know that we’ll always be connected.”

“We need to be out in front of the science because it is part of the total patient-care equation. Technology, along with compassionate care, experience and patient advocacy, is the fourth leg of the table.”

“Nothing should stand between a patient in need and the opportunity to live a healthy, fulfilling and independent life. Access to the proper prosthesis or orthosis is a right… not a privilege.”
