Abe’s background in engineering has helped shape his detailed problem-solving approach to patient care. His specialized knowledge in the application of forces to various joints and body segments enable Abe to see orthotic and prosthetic solutions to complex patient care problems. While he specializes in Pediatrics, Abe has worked with myriad types of prosthetic and orthotics patients, including those with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Early Intervention, Lower Extremity Weaknesses, and other congenital conditions, as well as sports medicine and rehabilitation patients.
Abe has been an American Board Certified Orthotist since 1999 and an American Board Certified Prosthetist since 1998. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology in 1995 and was accepted to Drexel University’s Master’s Degree program in Biomedical Engineering before entering the Newington Certificate Program in Orthotics & Prosthetics in 1996.
My favorite saying is “Make it Happen”. No matter what patient scenario comes my way – I usually say “I will make it happen” for you.
Abe is a member of the Amputee Coalition of America and the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He is an expert in Spinal Orthotics for management of Scoliosis and other spinal pathologies, and is certified to fit GeniumT advanced microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee technology, C-Leg™ and Rheo™ microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee technology, Proprio™ microprocessor-controlled foot technology, all aspects of myoelectric prostheses, including Dynamic Arm™, MyoBock™, I-Limb™, and Utah Arm™, the WalkAide™ functional electronic stimulator for foot drop, and in pediatric cranial remolding technology.
