Custom-fitted, Comfortable Upper, and Lower-limb Prosthetics

A prosthesis is a functional replacement for an amputated or congenitally malformed or missing limb. Patients receive a prescription for their particular prosthetic solution from a physician, most often a physiatrist or vascular surgeon, which is then custom-fitted by a prosthetist. Progressive O&P specializes in the design and fabrication of these individually tailored upper- and lower-limb custom prosthetics.

In most cases, the prosthetist begins by making a plaster cast of the patient’s affected limb. Lightweight, high-strength thermoplastics are custom-formed to this model of the patient. Cutting-edge materials such as carbon fiber, titanium and Kevlar® provide strength and durability while making the new prosthesis lighter. More sophisticated prostheses are equipped with advanced electronics, providing additional stability and control.

Our highly trained technical staff prides themselves on their top-quality craftsmanship and skill and our on-site laboratory allows our certified practitioners to supervise every aspect of the fabrication and design of our custom prosthetic devices, thus ensuring that every device Progressive O&P provides is optimized for fit and function and is made to the highest standards of quality.  The practitioner who evaluates and casts a particular patient modifies all casts for that patient; this highly personal approach to patient care is standard procedure at Progressive O&P.

Our mission at Progressive O&P is to provide our clients with lightweight, comfortable prostheses that allow them to regain as much functionality and independence as possible.
