Skin Cosmesis

Cosmesis is the art of making artificial limbs look life-like. For patients who desire a custom life-like cosmetic cover, Progressive O&P partners with talented artists who specialize in creating the most natural cover available.

In order to create the mold, measurements and impressions are taken. Next, silicone skin is poured into the mold.  For the final step, the artist meets with the patient to re-create skin texture, tone and details like fingernails, veins, freckles, and tattoos.
